Apple TV+ announced a new season of its flagship drama months after the Season 2 finale ended on a major cliffhanger. The Morning Show stars Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon as news anchors fighting through workplace tensions and the aftermath of sexual misconduct allegations against a former colleague (Steve Carell). Season 2 of the series also included the COVID-19 pandemic, ending in March 2020, just before the first shutdowns in New York City.
Initially, the critically acclaimed show was not picked up for three seasons keeping in mind the presence of lots of famous faces on the show and managing the schedule would be difficult. But the makers decided to come back with a new season keeping in mind how well the audience received the series.

We witnessed an Alex Levy who was quite different from the one we were used to watching from season 1. Charlotte Stoudt will serve as a showrunner for the new season. She will take over from Kerry Ehrin, who developed the show and serve as a consultant on Season 3. Charlotte Stoudt has previously written for Fosse/Verdon and Homelands.
The cast of The Morning Show Season 3
Some experts predict that we won’t be seeing Steve Carell’s character, Mitch, anymore after what happened to him in season 2. But who knows, maybe we’ll see the former anchor in flashbacks.
Meanwhile, it is also being guessed that Bel Powley (a.k.a. Claire) might not be around as much either, considering her reduced role in season 2. However, we just have to wait for more info to come out before being sure.
