Former President Donald J. Trump repeated his lie that the 2020 election was rigged and made other false statements regarding the pandemic and the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6 last year during a rally in Arizona on Saturday.
Steve Bannon, a former Trump strategist, slams Fox News for the lack of LIVE scope of the Arizona rally held by Donald Trump on Jan. 16, 2022. In his War Room podcast, Bannon called the networks a scam on Monday, Jan. 31, 2022.
Bannon lay his fury by saying that Fox News barely covers Donald Trump’s events, let alone a rally. Given that the Arizona rally had already sparked enough disappointment in Steve, he complained that the network isn’t here to provide news but to collect tokens and funds from parties and connections that benefit them. “The Murdochs want a Glenn Youngkin or some nice guy to sit there and give them tax cuts and deregulation.” He said.
“Fox News, which did not provide one second of coverage to Donald J. Trump’s massive rally, showed no respect to anyone in the MAGA movement,” Bannon said on Gettr, a right-wing Twitter alternative launched by a fellow ex-Trump worker, following his on-air rant. While Fox News did not broadcast Trump’s remarks live, it did provide news event coverage. When asked about any comment from the network regarding the backlash, Fox News didn’t respond immediately.
Steve Bannon went on to claim that the news agency hates Donal Trump. Bannon says that the Murdochs will do anything in their power to prevent Trump from getting back to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
During Bannon’s time in the Trump administration, he had a tight relationship with the network frequently amplified his anti-media charges. However, relations between Bannon and Fox have only gotten worse in recent months. The ex-Trump official has repeatedly launched attacks against the conservative channel, which Lindell now refers to as “controlled opposition,” alongside MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell.
