Latest update on Black Summer Season 2

Black Summer is a zombie thriller Netflix series that has been created by Karl Schaefer and John Hyams. The first season of this series is made up of 8 episodes, which was aired on Netflix in the year 2019. This show was produced by The Asylum and Z Nation. This show is written and directed by Hyams.

According to some media reports, Black Summer is returning with season 2 on Netflix this year. Jaime King was in the lead role in the show. She is shown as a mother who is separated from his daughter during a zombie apocalypse. The other stars of Black Summer include Justin Chu Cary, Christine Lee, Sal Velez Jr., Kelsey Flower, and Erika Hau. The series has received a positive response from the audience.

No fixed release date has been shared by the makers nor by the streaming giant Netflix. All that we know till now is that season 2 will be aired in 2020. It takes one or two months for Netflix to renew the show. Through their social account, information is released to the audiences. Until 2019 October, nothing was known about season 1. In November 2019, it was announced that by Netflix that season 2 will also happen.

Jaime King twitted about season 2 on her Twitter account and expressed her happiness in the next season being aired. She also announced that she would produce the show.

The shooting began in early 2020, but due to Covid-19, everything got halted in March. As per the initial update, shooting was to resume in August 2020, but it got pushed to September 2020.
