Shazam 2: Release date, cast, plot and more which you need to know

Shazam is an American superhero film that was released in 2019 in theaters. The film has received huge success and immense admiration from the audience. Fans have been eagerly waiting for its sequel as the first part of this movie has left the fans with high suspense.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods is the name of the upcoming sequel. The director revealed the official title during an event in DC Fan Dome. First, look poster was shared in his twitter handled as well.

It will be the reunion of the original cast and crew.  Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer along with the main cast expected to reprise their role. New cast till has not been announced yet.

No official announcement has been made on the plot of the film.  Zackary Levi returns as a superhero and Asher Angel as his human host. Billy Batson. Adam Brody, Meagan Good, Michelle Borth, Ross Butler, and D. J. Cotrona will be again seen as superhero’s siblings.

The plot has been under wraps since its announcements. The makers till now did not reveal much about the story. The film is yet to commence its principal photography.

Shazam 2 release date

Shazam 2 was supposed to release in April 2022 but the release date had to be dropped due to COVID. Now as per reports its sets to release on November 2022.

A brief background of the main story

The film is based on the DC Comics character. The film was released in 2019 in America. Produced by  New Line Cinema. Distributed by – Warner Bros Picture.  Asher Angel showed as Billy Batson, a teenage boy who can transform himself into an adult superhero. The superhero is played by Zachary Livi. The other stars include  Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Djimon Hounsou.  Billy Batson is chosen by the ancient wizard Shazam as his new companion.  He receives various superpowers. Freddy Freeman is shown as his best friend.
