Tokyo Vice is an upcoming crime drama series based on the 2009 book of the same name by Jake Adelstein of his years enduring in Tokyo as the first non-Japanese columnist working for perhaps the largest paper, Yomiuri. The series is set in the late 1990s, where an American journalist Jake Adelstein relocates to Tokyo to report on corruption within the Vice squad.

Television adaptation – In the year 2019, the television series was announced. The series is planned with 10 episodes, and it will be streamed in HBO Max. The producer himself will act in the series. In the month of October 2019, the names of directors and producers were also announced.
Release Date Tokyo Vice –
The makers did not announce the release date. Leaks and speculations suggest that the series will be released in 2020 itself. Shooting has been currently halted due to the COVID crisis. It can be expected to release in fall 2020 but no confirmation as yet. The plot details are even not clear until now.
