Tiger King, an American true-crime documentary series, has gained immense popularity like no other, ranking as one of the finest releases of Netflix. Streaming on Netflix since March 20, 2020, Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness is collectively directed by Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin. This miniseries circles around the life of zookeeper Joe Exotic.
Tiger King miniseries mainly situate its attention on the big cat conservationist society, including members like Carole Baskin, who owns the Big Cat Rescue on the one hand, and collectors like Exotic on the other whom Baskin alleges to have exploited and abused the wild animals.
Big Cat Rescue runs in Tampa, Florida, and the CEO, Carole Baskin, has a bitter feud spanning across many years with Joe Exotic, who owns the G.W. Zoo in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Both of them get entangled in an ugly feud and exchange threatening allegations, protests, and campaigns, which leads to the involvement of PETA and the United States Fish and Wildlife Service in their ongoing rivalry associated with the wildlife business.
While the first season was wildly popular on Netflix, the news about the second season under production is entirely hypothetical at this point in time. But the producers of the show are not ready to wrap it up yet. It is a docuseries with “a story that’s still unfolding.”
So, we can still expect the docuseries to continue, as a number of footages have been discovered, which can be used in further installments. Keep reading to know more about the second season of Tiger King.
Tiger King Season 2: Cast
It seems likely that Doc Antle and Carole Baskin will not participate in the follow-up to this docuseries. Doc Antle is the Myrtle Beach Safari co-owner, and he was not quite satisfied with the first season. As for Joe Exotic, who is serving a jail sentence, we can have some behind the bars interview if his release is not granted.
A YouTube channel titled “Kitten Wrestling in 3D” and “Valentine’s treats for the Tiger Boys” features some snippets of Carole Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue.
Tiger King Season 2: Release Date
Netflix has not yet confirmed the production of the second season, and the Coronavirus pandemic has indefinitely delayed the production of the same. But the follow up is assumed to be a much compact and small release with only a few episodes. Hence it is assumed that the filming will not take much time.
