Angela Black is a thriller television drama that was lauded and loved by the audience for its gripping storyline.
The series revolves around a woman oppressed by her violent husband, Olivier. Despite being hardworking and looking after his family, Olivier is also a harsh aggressor with an evil-looking past. The main character is approached by a man who claims to know all of her husband’s secrets. But her husband hired this man only to make her life hell.
Will there be a second season?
Sadly, it seems like there won’t be new episodes of Angela Black coming out any time soon.
While ITV has yet not confirmed possible news of a second series, star Joanne Froggatt ( who plays Angela in the series) has outright denied the possibility of new episodes. – that the show was always meant to come to an end after six episodes.
Keeping in mind that Angela Black is essentially a six-part series that could spell the end of the series. Season one ends with Angela discovering Ed’s true identity and motive. She even outwits her husband and gets him arrested. So the first edition comes to a well-deserved end.
As of now, we believe the channel may not greenlight another season. We can’t be sure, though, as we’ve seen more episodes be added to limited series in the past.
Angela Black Season 2 Cast
If the second season of Angela Black is announced, Joanne Froggatt will be a particular choice in the title role. The character is strong and struggles for most of Season 1 to put up with her abusive husband and win her fight.
Michiel Huisman, who plays Angela’s abusive husband Olivier, may also return.
Samuel Adewunmi plays hitman Ed Harrison, whose true identity is revealed to be Theo Walters.
Other cast members returning include Clement Stokes (Sam Meyer), Seth Stokes (Max Meyer), Ashley McGuire (Judy), and Pippa Nixon (PC Chappelhow).
Angela Black Season 2 Plot: What can it be about?
Season 1 introduces a wealthy family Angela is frequently abused by her husband, Olivier. The man then hires a hitman named Theo Walters to make life hell for his wife, Angela. The hitman introduces himself as Ed and tries to get her to investigate her husband to be accused of intruding in his affairs.
Angela somehow manages to have Olivier arrested. Therefore, in the planned second season, there could be a possibility of a new enemy or a new challenge in Angela’s life after the arrest. It’s also likely that her husband will be released from prison, which could make him plot something dangerous. There could be challenges for Angela in taking her life forward.
