The latest leaks at Blizzard seem not to have shaken the Irvine-based company, which seems to be, according to the latest rumors, working on a unreleased survival title.
This persistent rumor reports that the title would be a survival fantasy with code name Odysseya game with a very traditional inspiration, with a first-person view combined with the use of rudimentary weapons (such as bow and arrows) and magic.
The gameplay would then be enriched by crafting sections for the creation of potions and tools, objects that are theoretically also salable to other players. There is also room for very complex alchemy and magic mechanics. All enriched with an aesthetic style that takes heavily from inspired titles such as Everwild and Fable Legends.
This rumor, at the moment, seems to have more than one authoritative source. After the insider Jez Corden, in fact, also the well-known journalist Jason Schreirer confirmed the existence of Odysseygiving further credibility to a hypothesis already seasoned by several details.
While waiting for further interesting ideas to emerge on the matter, we still invite you to take these rumors with a grain of salt.
In the meantime, it seems that the American company is not doing badly in terms of revenues. The latest official financial reports have in fact highlighted that, during the second quarter of 2022, Blizzard had excellent earnings on mobile, with numbers that go far beyond what was recorded by the PC and console sections.
