In two procedures carried out in the coastal area of El Soberbio and Eldorado, Prefectura Naval seized shipments of fuel and herbicides that were being transported with the intention of crossing them irregularly to Brazil and Paraguay.
In El Soberbio, the federal officers observed at kilometer 1145 of the Uruguay River, a group of people handling packages from a car to a tractor with a trailer.
In this context, they intercepted three men aged 29, 27 and 26, on a dirt road 800 meters from the coast and found that they were carrying 980 liters of herbicides, divided into 49 drums of 20 liters each.
Those involved intended to cross the merchandise to Brazil avoiding customs controls, so the head of the Federal Court of Oberá, Alejandro Gallandat Luzuriaga, ordered the force to seize the cargo and the means used for its transport.
Fuel in Eldorado
In Eldorado, meanwhile, during a river patrol, the Prefecture intercepted on a dirt road on the way to the Paraná coast, a van with an occupant carrying 2,400 liters of gasoline, divided into 12 drums.
The fuel was going to be exported illegally, so the Prefecture seized it and made it available to the AFIP/DGA Iguazú Delegation.
