A City Bell store was robbed yesterday at noon by two motojets who applied a maneuver that could already be classified as “manual”: while one stands at the door with the engine running, in a matter of seconds his henchman takes control of loot affordable and easily transportable enough to ensure a quick escape.
As happened just a few days ago in a store in Gorina and in a supermarket in Altos de San Lorenzo, the target of the crime turned out to be on this occasion a pharmacy located on Camino General Belgrano y 467, demonstrating that this modality is increasingly is further expanding its domains.
It was an assault whose duration did not extend more than a minute. But those few seconds served a gang made up of two subjects to seize the proceeds from the premises and several valuables from customers who were buying.
As this newspaper could find out, the event took place around 12 noon. Averaging that hour, a motorcycle carrying two individuals stopped at the door of the premises. After getting off the unit, the companion wearing a “neck and a cap” that covered his face, violently entered the premises, sowing terror and panic with threats and a firearm.
Little did the criminals care about the heavy traffic of vehicles that could be seen at that time along the avenue or the possibility that they could be being filmed. Without measuring consequences, the subject began to demand that the employees give him the cash they had.
Blocked by the untimely entry and the fear of serious consequences, the workers took a few seconds to react to the criminal’s demands and it was in this context that the subject decided to take action by jumping over the counter “with surprising agility and skill typical of a boy”.
Aiming at the faces of the employees, the subject went to the box and took out all the bills that were there. Then, he jumped the counter again and when it seemed that the nightmare was coming to an end, the thief had the idea of enlarging the loot by stripping cell phones and wallets from three customers who were in the store and who, like the employees, They did not show any kind of resistance.
It may have been that sense of “collaboration” that possibly induced the thug to accede to a victim’s request. “Can you leave me the ID please? There is mine and those of my children. Take the rest”, said the woman to the subject who opened the wallet, took out the money and returned it.
After this brief impasse, the nightmare finally ended for all those present when the subject crossed the door and got on the motorcycle again. The sound of the motorcycle’s exhaust moving away brought more relief to the distressing situation they had just experienced.
“We are fine but it was a moment of terror for both us and the clients,” one of the employees who suffered the robbery acknowledged yesterday to this newspaper.
Meanwhile, a merchant in the area indicated that the feeling of fear was spread in the block. It is that, after learning of the insecurity situation suffered by the pharmacy, two employees presented their resignation. “I understand them. You can not live like this. It is not the first time it happens. There are several businesses that suffer from this reality, ”she explained.
