This summer he made the much-needed decision to take some time off from the prestigious television assignment. The time he would partly spend on his book, which is the result of a canceled stand-up show.
– It deals with special medical cases. Some funny, some exciting, some sad, donations and lives I regret saving. You can actually do that, Mikael Sandström told Happened.

In the TV box, the viewers got to meet a new doctor instead. Doctor Marcus Olausson was nicknamed the “summer doctor” and during the summer there have been many broadcasts for the new TV doctor.
Mikael Sandström has had a close eye on the replacement, despite being busy with his book, and thinks that what Marcus says is relevant – but that he does not have anywhere near the same experience.
– So the thing is, when I started, there was no one to ask and stuff like that. But then everyone gets to find their own form. He can’t do it my way. But then it’s clear, since I’ve been doing it for over 11 years, that I have experience, says Mikael to Happened.

However, Marcus Olausson doesn’t seem to need any help. Mikael Sandström says that the replacement did not get in touch to get tips and advice. Nor have they met each other.
No matter what, Soldoktorn thinks it’s nice to have a little break from the TV screen and focus on other things. He also thinks that the replacement handled the task just fine.
– Everything he says is adequate… So there are no medical errors in any way. I think it’s quite nice, you have to have a little break. There will be many of these summer ailments that come back with jellyfish and scrub sores and allergies and the like.
