Now, according to a recent job posting, Netflix is looking for a Render Engineer to support its streaming service. cloud gaming.
It is claimed that the prospective employee will help the company optimize game rendering so that Netflix can “render multiple games on our cloud gaming devices.” The listing further says that the engineer will help with “SDK development to enable game developers to succeed in writing high-quality games for the Netflix cloud gaming ecosystem.”
Netflix has yet to officially announce any cloud service offerings in regards to its game plans. Though the company is likely to continue expanding its gaming department considering its Netflix cloud gaming ecosystem ambitions.
But as far as confirmations go, the company has only claimed that more games tied to Netflix shows are on the way, with the promise that there will be no ads, extra fees, or in-app purchases. In any case, it will be interesting to see how Netflix navigates the already competitive cloud space.
