On February 23rd, 2021, Demi Lovato was invited to The Ellen DeGeneres show, where she opened up about her past struggles and problems. Her ‘deepest, darkest struggles’ will be talked about in her upcoming docuseries ‘Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil’. It will be a YouTube series of four-part in which she wants to set her records right which is related to her 2018 drug overdose and fatality that came with it.
It also focused on the singer’s struggles to overcome drug intoxication. She even gave a powerful performance, a duet with Sam Fischer, in the daytime talk show where she sang her new song ‘What Other People Say.’
She is happy that the world has been so loving and caring to her in her journey and has inspired her to share her story. Demi believes that we all live in a time nobody we meet is perfect. We make role models only when we see them making mistakes that we all make and also setting them right with the right efforts. She wants the world to know that is the only way how we can meet and learn from our role models who have overcome their deepest and darkest struggles.

Demi Lovato went through a very tough period of time during her drug overdose, where she suffered 3 strokes and a heart attack after the near-fatal 2018 incident. The situations were so critical that even the doctors there told her that she could not live more than five to ten minutes. She says that the whole journey has been harrowing for her, but she doesn’t regret going through it. Lovato is proud of what she is today and what that incident has made her now.
Demi Lovato thinks that her situation’s misfortune is similar to that of the cat with nine lives, where she compares her life with the English proverb. She says she is on her ninth life, and she ready to go back to do what she has always loved to do, that is, making music. This life-changing incident has affected her life, her friends, and even her family.
Problems Faced By Demi Lovato:
This incident has left her so critical that she has brain damage, and she is unable to drive a car even because she has blind spots in her vision. It happened on July 24. Demi Lovato was transferred to the Los Angeles hospital just before she was ready to hit the stage for her performance; she got herself hit with an opioid overdose. The paramedic’s team, when they arrived at her place, found her unconscious.
The paramedic’s team then and there treated her with naloxone before moving her to the hospital. This medicine is administered in case of a narcotic overdose. That night before, she overdoses she was celebrating her friend’s birthday in West Hollywood. During her journey, she was surrounded by her friends and family and all those who have loved her and her loved ones. She was in the hospital till August, until after that, she was sent to a rehab center to spend her next three months there.
Her four-part YouTube series shows her traumas of life which have affected her mentally, emotionally, and physically. She believes that she is at a point that she can strongly state that all her past experiences have made her a strong person today and helped to learn a lot about her life.
