Ingredients for Pickling Tomatoes
Tomatoes – 2-3 large
Garlic – 3-4 cloves red chili powder
Cumin – half teaspoon
Mustard – half teaspoon
Fenugreek seeds – half teaspoon
Sugar – 3 tsp
Mustard oil – 2 tsp
Tomato pickle recipe
First put a pan on gas to heat. Now fry with cumin and fenugreek seeds for few minutes. Now take it out on a plate and let it cool.
Now grind it well with cumin, fenugreek and mustard in a mixer grinder.
Now heat a pan with oil. Add garlic and tomato slices and cook stirring well.
Now add mustard-fenugreek powder and red chilli powder and cook for 2-4 minutes.
Then add sugar to it and cook till the sugar dissolves well.
Then add salt to it and mix all the ingredients well.
Your tomato sour and sweet pickle is ready. You can serve it with puri-paratha or rice.
You can store this pickle in an air tight container if you want.
