And what if it is you do not have to worry about the expenses?
Too good to be true?
Well, that is exactly what it is!
And we have Yusaku Maezawa to thank for it!
Yusaku Maezawa, A Japanese billionaire is inviting 8 people to join him for a week in his lunar expedition. Which is free of cost and will take off in 2023 in a lunar spaceship designed and manufactured by SpaceX. The expedition is a product of Maezawa’s curiosity and desire to witness and marvel at our Earth from afar.

About the lunar expedition: –
The lunar expedition is to take place in 2023. It is the first commercial aircraft to leave the orbit of the earth in humanity’s history. The expedition will be a weeklong affair. Also, there will be a total of 10-12 people on the spaceship. The lunar spaceship will revolve around the moon before returning to Earth.
Yusaku Maezawa’s original plan was to invite 6-8 artists for the expedition, but he changed his plans afterward. This change was brought about when he realized that every person is an artist and is involved with creativity in his life. A person who creatively tackles his daily life can call himself an artist. Anyone willing to call himself an artist is eligible to apply for a spot on his crew for the lunar expedition.
There are just two criteria that a person needs to fulfill to secure a spot for the expedition. These are- (1) to surpass the normal level of creativity, and (2) be helpful to the other fellow passengers to do the same.
SpaceX develops the lunar spaceship, and Yusaku Maezawa was the first person to book a trip in the lunar spaceship in 2018, but the amount he paid for it is not disclosed.

Advancements in the project: –
The Spaceship project has been developing since 2017 and is named the dear moon project and is actually a lunar tourism project.
Elon Musk has commented that Yusaku Maezawa and his companions might be the first lunar expedition after US Apollo in 1972. That is if SpaceX can succeed in its mission to provide for the trip.
An early sample of Starship failed to land and exploded into the fire after crashing. The same happened twice, one in December 2020 and on another flight test in February 2021. Still, the company has full faith that the “Re-usable” spaceship will be ready and in full function, as promised and beyond soon. The spaceship will be carrying a group of up to 12 people from earth to moon, around the moon, Mars and further one day.
Elon Musk has also commented that the spaceship will have to succeed in reaching the orbit many times before the date of the actual take-off that is in 2023 and will be safe for human transportation.
If successful then this would be the first commercial flight beyond the earth in human history.

Yusaku Maezawa:
Yusaku Maezawa, born on 22nd November 1975, is a Japanese billionaire entrepreneur, social activist and art collector. He also is the founder of a contemporary art foundation based in Tokyo, Japan.
He has founded Star Today(1998), launched a retail website, “Zozotown” (2004), a custom-fit apparel brand “Zozo,” an at-home measurement system “Zozosuit”(2018).
Yusaku Maezawa had previously made news on a similar advertisement, in which he had invited women to apply for the position of his girlfriend to accompany him on the SpaceX expedition, which searches he hastily abandoned even though the advertisement attracted over 30,000 applications.
