Without adding too many spices, this simple fish korma recipe can be made in less than an hour with just a few ingredients. Add dry spices like cloves, cardamom and cinnamon to this recipe and then taste the fish korma. This fish korma recipe also includes curd, cashew paste and raisin paste, which will make the dish creamy. This is a korma dish, so we added only 1 cup of water to make the curry, as korma curry base should always be thick. Ingredients for making fish korma
500 grams of fish fillet
3 onions
2 green cardamoms
1/2 tsp garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon green chilies
4 tablespoons curd (yogurt)
1 tablespoon crushed raisins to make a paste
1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
Rice bran oil as needed
2 tablespoons lemon juice
4 cloves
1 stick cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
Coriander powder 1 tsp
1 teaspoon cashew paste
2 tbsp ghee
Salt as required
How to make Fish Korma-
Place all the fish fillets in a bowl. Sprinkle salt to taste along with lemon juice. Mix well to coat the pieces. Keep it aside for 10 minutes. Now heat 2 tbsp oil in a non stick pan. Add the fish fillets and fry until golden brown. Once cooked, take it out on a plate. Now take 1 onion and cut it into very thin slices. Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan. Add onion slices and fry until golden brown. After roasting take the pieces in a bowl and keep aside for later use. Now heat some oil in a pan. Add cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and fry for a minute. Now add 2 chopped onions and fry till golden brown. Now add ginger paste, garlic paste, green chilli paste, coriander powder and salt. Mix and fry for another 2 minutes. Now mix it well with curd in the pan. Fry for about 6-8 minutes. Now add cashew paste and raisin paste. Mix and fry for another 2-3 minutes. Add 1/4 cup water to the pan and mix well. Fry the paste for about 5 minutes. Now boil this paste with 1 cup of water. This will make a nice and thick curry. Now add fried fish pieces, garam masala and fried onions to the curry paste. Cook for another minute and switch off the flame. Prepared fish korma.
