Public relations webdesk. Exercise Tips: Exercise is as important to our body as food and water. Experts recommend daily exercise to stay healthy. Many people keep fit by creating a daily routine and exercising. Diseases like diabetes and cancer can be avoided through exercise. But a study has shown that exercise is necessary to stay healthy, but it is not necessary to exercise for hours every day. You can stay fit by exercising a few days a week.
No need to exercise every day
Health experts recommend about 150 minutes of moderate exercise or 75 minutes of brisk exercise per week. Experts say, there is no need to exercise every day. Exercising on weekends or even 1-2 days a week provides the same benefits as daily exercise. This information has emerged in a new study published in JAMA Internal Medicine.
Gary O’Donovan, who researches exercise in the medicine program at Loughborough University in England, and his colleagues analyzed data from a health survey of more than 63,000 people in England and Scotland. Those who said they exercised just one or two days a week had a 30% to 34% lower risk of dying early from any cause than those who were inactive. At the same time, this risk was reduced by 35% in those who exercised daily. According to this, there is not much difference between those who exercise less and those who exercise daily.
Reduced risk of heart disease and cancer
The results of this study show that physical activity is beneficial for the body even if it is low. Researchers found that those who exercised 150 minutes a week had nearly the same benefits as those who exercised daily. Both those who exercised regularly and those who exercised two days a week reduced their risk of death from heart disease by about 40%. The same was true for the risk of death from cancer. People who exercised — whether every day or just a few days — had an 18% to 21% lower risk of dying from cancer than those who didn’t.
