Brazil nuts are high in selenium. Selenium relieves depression and improves mood by reducing inflammation. Nuts are plant-based proteins that contain fiber along with healthy fats.

Herbal teas can work to improve your mood and fight depression symptoms. It works by reducing the levels of the stress hormone cortisol present in the body. Black tea in particular reduces stress and calms the mood.

Eggs are available in almost every home, to boost mood, definitely include them in your diet. They contain a nutrient called choline, which helps produce neurotransmitters and improves mood. Besides, eggs contain amino acids, omega-3 fatty acids, zinc and magnesium.

Beans and spinach are rich in protein and fiber, which help control blood sugar levels.
