A few days ago I read a newsletter from one of my business mentors. He spoke about a lesson he learned from that show. More specifically, from the episode where George Costanza did everything differently. And while the lesson was about marketing, it can be applied to dating as well. Especially if you are looking for a beautiful, quality girlfriend rather than a drunken monotony.
So…
There’s this scene where George Costanza gets an interview with the New York Yankees. Instead of kissing the owner’s ass, he now told him the Yankees sucked. He also made sure to tell him WHY he believed all of the owner’s decisions were big fat mistakes.
He was hired on the spot!
Then there was this other scene where he saw this hot sexy babe having dinner alone. So he approached her. And instead of trying to be someone he’s not and tricking her into going on a date, he told her he’s bald, short, doesn’t have a job and still lives with his parents. She immediately went on a date with him!
The crazy thing is…
The same is true of dating as an introvert. You see, dating is tough for introverts! Because most dating advice tries to turn introverts into extroverts and urges them to present themselves as someone they are not! And if that wasn’t enough, most dating techniques involve tricking, lying, and manipulating women in relationships. It goes without saying that none of these will help you get a good girlfriend.
And certainly not for long!
I mean, what do you think happens when she finds out that the guy is NOT who he “pretended” to be? That’s correct! She drops him!
Here’s my point:
Let the other team go this way.
Let the PUAs get the inferior women and be dumped after their “facade” crumbles.
We will take the “opposite” approach.
Because doing the opposite of what all the other guys are doing can give you a huge edge on the ladies – especially the high-end ones.
Try it.
You might really be surprised by the results.
Right now you’re probably wondering, “What specifically can I do to counteract this?” Well… here’s something handy to use the next time you interact with a woman. The next time you disagree with a woman, just do the opposite instead of matching your opinion with hers and going into “me too” mode like most men do!
don’t agree with her!
You will see that by doing this you are actually creating attraction! Because attraction comes when we break rapport, not when we build it. And this is the problem. All our lives we have been taught to build relationships with people. Our parents told us to be nice. At school they told us to be nice. At work they ask us to be nice.
Serious…
Think of any communication course you’ve ever taken at work. It’s about building relationships and making friends with people. But if you’re just befriending a woman, don’t act surprised if you end up in the friend zone. So the next time your date tells you she likes Harry Potter, don’t be afraid to tell her it’s lame!
Of course, don’t be rude!
As long as you do it playfully, with a cheeky smile on your face, you’ll find she’s more attracted to you!
