-Flour – 1 ½ cups (or 1 cup all purpose flour and 1/2 cup flour)
– Instant dry yeast – 1/2 tsp
Curd – 1 tsp
Milk – 1/3 cup
Sugar – 1/2 tsp
Oil – 1 tsp
– Lukewarm water – 1/2 cup
-Garlic (finely chopped) – 2 tbsp
Coriander (finely chopped) – 3 tbsp
– Butter (for serving) – 1 cake
How to make garlic naan-
To make garlic naan first take instant dry yeast in a bowl and then add sugar to it. Now add 1/2 cup lukewarm water to it. Now stir this mixture well. Then keep it covered for 15 minutes. If you see foam in this mixture. This means the yeast is active and if it is not, the yeast is not active or you used too hot water. If there is no foam, discard the yeast mixture without the foam and prepare the mixture again.
Sift one and a half cups of all purpose flour (or 1 cup of all purpose flour and 1/2 cup of flour) into a large bowl and add one tablespoon of curd and oil. Meanwhile add salt to it. Now add the yeast mixture prepared earlier. Now beat the bread until it becomes soft like flour. You can also use little water if needed for soft dough.
Now grease the flour with oil. Cover with a damp cloth or cover the container with plastic or a lid. Keep it in a warm place for about one to one and a half hours. After that, remove the cloth or lid, you will see that the dough has puffed up. Now knead the dough well again so that it becomes soft. Now make a dough ball and cover it with a cloth and keep it for half an hour.
Now take a dough and put flour on it and roll it into an oval shape. Add some chopped garlic and chopped coriander on it. Then gently press with a rolling pin or by hand. Now turn the naan upside down and moisten it with water with your hands or with a brush.
Now place the iron fryer on the gas to heat it and when the fryer is hot, fry the naan from the wet side. This will make the naan stick to the pan. Now hold the pan with the handle and invert it on the gas. Keep rotating it on gas until the naan is cooked. It will take about a minute. Now take out the naan with a ladle. You will see that the bottom surface has also turned golden in color. This is how your garlic naan is made. Serve hot with food topped with butter.
