1. First put the pan on medium heat. When the pan is hot, add ghee.
2. Now put the grated coconut in the pan and fry well for 5 to 7 minutes.
3. After that add jaggery to it. Grated jaggery will mix easily with coconut.
4. Fry jaggery and coconut together for 3 to 4 minutes. Here, cut the cashews into small pieces and keep them in the pan. Then mix well with cardamom and nutmeg powder.
5. Turn off the gas and keep it to cool. On the other hand start making the modak shell.
Now make the modak dough
1. To prepare the modak shell, first take a non-sticky pan on medium heat.
2. Add water according to the amount of rice flour in the pan, and add little ghee to the water and mix well.
3. Now slowly add the rice flour to the water and keep stirring continuously. It may contain lumps, so keep stirring well.
4. Make a soft dough out of it. Then turn off the gas and keep aside to cool.

1. After the dough cools down, mix it well by hand. If it sticks to your hands, add two spoons of ghee and knead again with your hands.
2. Now apply ghee to the mold. Then make the flour dough and flatten it, put it in the mold and pour the filling mixture in it.
3. After pouring the filling, close the mold and drug well by hand. Now prepare all the modaks in the same way and keep them in a tray.

1. First grease your palms with ghee and take a small ball out of the dough and flatten it.
2. Now put the prepared filling on it and apply water to the edges with the help of fingers and selectively fold the edges to make a modak shape. Prepare all the modaks in the same way.

1. Place water under the steamer and turn on the gas.
2. Apply ghee on all modaks before steaming. Now when the water boils put it in the steamer and let it steam for 10 to 15 minutes.
3. On the other hand, if you don’t have a steamer, you can steam it by placing a cloth in a muslin cloth and pouring water under any vessel in the house.
